Finally, They're Fighting Battles

So aside from being impressed that we used the proper forms of "There, They're and Their" you should all be impressed that the thing many people have been saying/wanting for years, that the countries of the Middle East should fight their own wars, is actually happening. We know, we know it's shocking to see, but if 2018 has taught us anything, it's that the future is as unpredictable and crazy as always and it all started in 2016 with that one gorilla (RIP Harambe).A coalition of Arab states led by Saudi Arabia has launched an actual attack on the city of Hodeida. Many of you may remember us vaguely reporting on this issue back in 2017, when Yemen rebels known as Houthis, backed by the ever increasingly hostile Iran, launched missiles at the Riyadh.This latest development is interesting indeed and a welcome answer for those who would prefer the United States only execute the use of force in the Middle East as a last resort.Hodeida is an extremely important city as a vast majority of the supplies imported into the country come through its port. Whether it be aid or other assorted supplies, the Saudi-led coalition views Hodeida as extremely tactically advantageous. The retaking of that city would be a huge win for the "allies" and would strike a major blow to Iran's meddling in Yemeni affairs.

So far this is the largest battle of the proxy war being waged between two of the largest powers in the Middle East, we're not exactly sure if it will turn into a full-blown war between the two, but it wouldn't surprise us if Iran makes a play to seize what they can as sanctions rise with the withdrawal of the United States from the nuclear deal.Crazy times we're living in. As much as we're happy they aren't shooting at us, the effects of this conflict could have global consequences.
